8-DAY ITINERARY

Step into Guatemala, the heart of Mayan Empire.

Guatemala, the Land of Eternal Spring, is known for its pleasant highland climate with warm weather and year-round sunshine.

Day 1: Welcome to Guatemala!

We'll meet you at the airport in Guatemala City and take you over to the colonial city of Antigua (a World Heritage Site), about an hour away. The Hotel Casa Santo Domingo is restored from the remains of the original Convent of Santo Domingo, destroyed in an earthquake in 1773. History comes alive in this colonial gem and it's the perfect place to stay and enjoy Antigua.

Day 2: Local Culture surrounding Antigua

Get out of town for a few hours to experience some local culture in the villages surrounding Antigua. We'll show you colonial churches and palaces in San Juan del Obispo, craft shops in San Pedro de Las Huertas, and the market of San Antonio de Aguas Calientes. Then it's back to Antigua to relax in Casa Santo Domingo or explore the town.

Day 3: The Most Beautiful Lake in the World

Check out of Casa Santo Domingo for your 2.5-hour private transfer to Lake Atitlán, the most beautiful lake in the world. You'll stay at the gorgeous, boutique Casa Palopó overlooking the lake. The living area at Casa Palopó showcases art, antiques, and opens to a terrace with stunning lake and volcano views.

Day 4: Free Day

Enjoy your day relaxing and enjoying the spa services of Casa Palopó.

Day 5: Explore the Lake & Local Village

Time to get out onto Lake Atlitán with a boat ride to explore some of the towns and villages around the lake. Then enjoy your afternoon relaxing back at Casa Palopó.

Day 6: Lakes & Ruins

Check out of Casa Palopó. We'll pick you up and take you back to Guatemala City for an internal flight to Flores, the gateway to Tikal National Park. From Flores, it's another transfer to the boutique hotel La Lancha, overlooking Lake Petén Itzá. The lodge offers a lakeside bar, pool, and open-air restaurant.

Day 7: Tikal National Park

Time to explore Tikal, one of Central America's most beautiful and famous Mayan archeological sites. We'll meet you in the lobby of La Lancha and take you to the national park for a six-hour tour of the temples. You'll enjoy lunch at a rainforest restaurant before heading back to your hotel.

Day 8:  Check Out

Check out of La Lancha for your transport back to Flores and connecting flight to Guatemala City and onward to your final destination.
