After landing in Managua, you'll meet our representatives and we'll transfer you over to the colonial city of Granada. Explore Granada's historic center on a horse-drawn carriage, a must-do in the city. Founded in 1524, Granada is among the oldest colonial cities in the Western Hemisphere. We'll head out of Granada today for a highlights tour of the surrounding area. We'll pick you up from your hotel and head to Masaya Volcano National Park to view the volcano's smoking crater from the top. Then it's over to the nearby city of Masaya and its famous artisan market, perfect for souvenirs. After that, we'll take you to Catarina for lunch overlooking the stunning Laguna de Apoyo before heading back to Granada and your hotel, stopping in the ceramics center of San Juan de Oriente on the way.
